AYUDA - Community Engagement

Ayuda is the community engagement program of the students of the School of Management where they help the less privileged sections of society out of their pocket money. It helps them gain a wider perspective about the society they live in.

MAGNA

MAGNA, the association of management student acts as the student industry interface. It helps the students hone their skills and be better managers with exposure to real life situations.

JEROMIA

JEROMIA is the Management Fest hosted by the School of Management. Jeromia had a flying start with 22 participating B Schools and 272 registrations.

QMA - Student chapter 

The student chapter of Quilon Management Association was inaugurated by Dr Riji G Nair, President, QMA on December 22nd 2018. Representatives from QMA attended the function.

Industrial/Pleasure trips

Students accompanied by faculty go for industrial/ pleasure trips to various establishments/ locations in India.

Achievements

Faculty

• Prof. Lekshmi M S has been awarded Doctorate in Management  and designated as Associate Professor
• Prof. George Antony has been designated as Dean, Management studies.
• Prof. Anil G S has been designated as HoD and Associate Professor.
• The Department of Management secured the first ever consultancy assignment through BJI’s Consultancy and Continuing Education Cell (CCEC) in December 2013. A study was conducted on the “Impact assessment of Radio Benziger”. Prof Anil G S (Department of Management), the principal investigator was assisted by Asst Prof Denney M Thomas.
• A management consultancy was undertaken on “The revival strategies for Bishop Jerome Nagar Shopping Complex”

Students

• Ms. Anjali Solomon (2020-22) received the first prize in the essay competition held by QMA at the district level.

• During the time of floods, students had engaged in the relief activities and they collected essential items and distributed them to the needy through the district collector’s office. The college was awarded ‘One District, One Green Champion’ Award for the Kollam District declared by MGNRE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India.

Participation in Management Fests

• The Management Students from BJI secured prizes at ‘Le Emperoz‘ the management fest of Rajdhani Business School, Thiruvananthapuram – First Prize for “Corporate Kaleidoscope” and Runners Up for “Ad Zap”.
• Mr.Blais B Mathews of S3 MBA was adjudged the winner of the ‘Best Manager’ event at ‘Le Emperoz  Management fest of Rajadhani School of Management.

Students of MBA (2020-22) Batch got 

• First Prize for Finance game at Karunakaran Memorial Institute, Thiruvananthapuram
• Second Prize for Marketing Game at Girideepam Institute of Management, Kottayam

Students of MBA (2021-23) Batch got 

• Second prize for the finance game at Saint Gits, Kottayam
• Second prize for the HR game and Business Quiz at University Institute of Management, Kollam
• Second Prize for Business Quiz a DCSMAT, Trivandrum.
• First Prize for Marketing game at University Institute of Management, Kundara
• First Prize for Finance game at Rajadhani Business School, Trivandrum
• Second prize for Finance Game and Best Management Team at MACFAST, Thiruvalla
