KOLLAM: Bishop Jerome Institute recently hosted a vibrant Moon Day celebration aimed at fostering scientific curiosity and deepening public understanding of space exploration and astronomy.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, families, and science enthusiasts from the local community. A major highlight of the evening was the live telescopic observation session, which allowed attendees of all ages to view the lunar surface up close. Participants marvelled at the detailed views of lunar craters, plains, and other geological features visible through high-powered telescopes.
Designed to bridge the gap between complex space science and the general public, the initiative successfully inspired a sense of wonder, particularly among young children, encouraging them to explore sky observation and scientific inquiry.
