KOLLAM — On August 17, 2026, the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at Bishop Jerome Institute (BJI), in association with the ACM Chapter, organized a one-day offline workshop titled "Data Structures and Algorithms" at the CSE Lab. The event aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and industry applications while enhancing students' problem-solving and coding efficiency.

The session was inaugurated by Dr. Anil A. R., Principal of Bishop Jerome Institute, who highlighted the critical role of strong foundational knowledge in Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA) for building effective programming solutions. The initiative was conducted under the leadership of Program Convenor Dr. Deepa Rajan S. (HOD & Associate Professor, CSE) and Program Coordinator Ms. Sibimol J. (Assistant Professor, CSE).

Mr. Adithyan Anil, R&D Engineer at Phiscape Robotics Pvt. Ltd., served as the resource person. Drawing from his technical expertise, he led hands-on sessions covering core algorithmic techniques, time and space complexity analysis, and efficient data handling. Third-semester B.Tech CSE students actively participated in practical coding exercises and interactive Q&A sessions throughout the day-long workshop running from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

The event concluded with positive feedback from participants, marking another successful academic collaboration aimed at fostering industry-ready engineering skills.
