Unfurling the Tricolor with Pride and Honor

Bishop Jerome Institute (BJI), Kollam, witnessed an inspiring display of national pride as students, faculty, and staff gathered for the solemn Flag Hoisting Ceremony on August 15, 2026.

Organized by NSS Unit 312 under their core motto "NOT ME, BUT YOU," the ceremony served as the centerpiece of the 80th Independence Day observances. The event brought the campus community together to pay tribute to the nation's rich history and real heroes.

Ceremony at 9:00 AM

At exactly 9:00 AM, the National Flag was hoisted at the central campus ground. As the Tricolor unfurled against the morning sky, attendees saluted the flag in unison, honoring the freedom fighters whose sacrifices laid the foundation of modern India.
