Organized for the active members of the BJI Standards Club, the event took place on Friday, 10 July 2026.

The Standards Club at Bishop Jerome Institute operates in collaboration with the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), the National Standards Body of India. By introducing students to standardisation and quality frameworks early in their academic journeys, the initiative prepares future engineers, architects, and managers to meet global industrial benchmarks.

The highlight of the day was the industrial exposure visit to Mark Fittings. This field trip provided engineering students with a transparent look into the high-stakes world of heavy polymer manufacturing.
During the visit, students observed:

Quality Testing Frameworks: The stringent benchmarks set by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) to ensure structural integrity and pressure resistance.
