On June 5, 2026, NSS Unit 312 marked World Environment Day with a dedicated environmental awareness and conservation program, inaugurated by Principal Dr. Anil AR. The initiative focused on proactive climate action, featuring a successful tree plantation drive where volunteers and faculty planted indigenous saplings across the campus to enhance local green cover. This hands-on activity was led by Program Officers Mr. Laiju Thankachan (Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering) and Ms. Greeshma T S (Assistant Professor, Computer Science & Engineering), who guided the students in transforming the campus into a living model of sustainability.

The event concluded with a formal commitment ceremony, where participants, faculty, and students collectively took the World Environment Day Pledge. By vowing to prioritize sustainable practices, minimize waste, and preserve natural resources for future generations, the volunteers reaffirmed their dedication to long-term environmental stewardship. Through these combined efforts, NSS Unit 312 continues to foster a culture of ecological responsibility, inspiring the campus community to contribute toward a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable future.
