KOLLAM, KERALA — The Bishop Jerome Institute (BJI) community is celebrating a monumental academic milestone. Ar. Ramya Ancy Rajan, an Assistant Professor at the Bishop Jerome Institute of Architecture & Design, has brought national laurel to the institution by securing the coveted First Prize in the National Article Writing Competition.

The prestigious contest was organized by the Institute of Town Planners, India (ITPI), focusing on one of the most critical challenges facing contemporary urban planning: "Crowd Management - Planning Strategies".

The national-level competition witnessed immense participation, drawing in approximately 150 highly technical essay submissions from seasoned urban planning experts, researchers, and academicians across India. Ar. Ramya’s exceptional paper stood out at the top of this competitive pool for its analytical depth, innovative insights, and highly actionable architectural strategies.

In recognition of this exemplary feat, she has been awarded a grand cash prize of ₹50,000. To add further weight to this academic milestone, her winning piece has been officially compiled and published in the prestigious ITPI academic volume, Planning Strategies for Crowd Management—a significant nod to her research acumen.
