The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Bishop Jerome Institute is proud to announce "PEGASUS," a highly anticipated workshop on Piston Engine Design, to be held as part of the COGNIZ’26 technical symposium. The workshop is scheduled for March 18, 2026.

This technical session aims to provide participants with deep insights into the fundamental principles and advanced designs of internal combustion engines. Designed for engineering students and aspiring mechanical specialists, this workshop is a unique opportunity to learn about the complexities of engine mechanics.

The department is honored to have secured Sandeep S, an expert with over 13 years of experience in machine design and CAD/CAE software, as the workshop leader. Mr. Sandeep, who holds an M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (CAD/CAM), has extensive exposure to diverse mechanisms and machine developments and is an expert in industry-standard software like SOLIDWORKS and ANSYS.

Workshop Details:

  • Topic: Workshop on Piston Engine Design ("PEGASUS")

  • Date: March 18, 2026

  • Time: 9:30 AM

  • Venue: Top Floor Seminar Hall

  • Registration Fee: ₹200/- per person

"This workshop is a crucial addition to COGNIZ’26, bridging theoretical knowledge with practical, industrial insights. We are thrilled to host an expert of Sandeep S’s caliber to guide our students," said Dr. Abhishek. P, Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department.

Participants will leave with a greater understanding of piston engine design, the application of design software in engine development, and real-world engineering challenges.
