Kollam, March 2026 – Bishop Jerome Institute (BJI) is proud to announce that Azin John, a second-semester (S2) Data Science student at the School of Engineering, has achieved significant national-level recognition in sports. Azin secured the Bronze Medal (2nd Runner Up) in the highly competitive -56 kg category at the Khelo India Asmita Kickboxing League (South Zone).

Representing the state of Kerala, Azin’s victory highlights the growing prowess of BJI students in both academics and extracurricular disciplines. The Asmita (Achieving Sports Milestone by Inspiring Women Through Action) programme is a flagship initiative under Khelo India, designed to identify and nurture female sporting talent at the grassroots level.
