KOLLAM – In a significant move toward environmental sustainability and women’s health, the Women Forum of Bishop Jerome Institute (BJI) organized the "Inauguration & Distribution of Menstrual Cups" today at the Ground Floor Seminar Hall.
The event, held in collaboration with the Haritha Keralam Mission, marks a major "Green Initiative" for the campus, aiming to reduce sanitary waste and promote eco-friendly menstrual hygiene among students and staff.

Inauguration & Distribution: The event was officially inaugurated by Dr. R. Latha Devi, Hon. District Panchayat President, Kollam. In her address, she emphasized the importance of transitioning to sustainable alternatives to protect the environment.
Keynote & Felicitations: Dr. Anil A.R, Principal of BJI, offered felicitations, highlighting the college's commitment to fostering a progressive and health-conscious campus culture.
Project Insight: Mr. S. Issac, District Co-ordinator of the Haritha Keralam Mission, provided an in-depth project explanation, detailing the long-term benefits of menstrual cups over traditional disposable products.
