Bishop Jerome Institute (BJI), Kollam, is proud to announce its upcoming Annual Blood Donation Camp. NSS Unit-312 in associated with Rudhirasena and IMA Blood Bank Asramam, Kollam, we invite all students, faculty, and the public to participate in this life-saving initiative.

Why Should You Donate?
Every year, thousands of people rely on the generosity of voluntary blood donors for surgeries, emergency treatments, and long-term care. A single donation can save up to three lives. By joining our camp, you aren't just a student or a teacher; you are a hero.
Who Can Donate? (Eligibility Criteria)
To ensure the safety of both donors and recipients, please check the following:
- Age:18-50years
- Weight: Minimum 50kg
- Should have a normal breakfast in the morning(avoid heavy breakfast)
- Should not be on medicine
- Ensure you have at least 6 to 8 hours of sleep the night before
- Avoid consumption of alcohol and cigarette before 24 hours of donation
- Blood can be donated once in three months.
- Individuals with tattoos or piercings must wait one year before donating blood.
What to Expect on the Day
- Registration: Quick sign-up and basic health screening (BP & Hemoglobin check).
- The Donation: A painless process taking about 10–15 minutes.
- Refreshments: Post-donation snacks and juices will be provided to all donors.
