Bishop Jerome College, Department of Mechanical Engineering, celebrated Merit Day to acknowledge brilliant students for their outstanding academic performance, Specifically Those who have scored 80% and above in their higher secondary examination. The Merit Day for the academic year 2025 was held on 27th May 2025. The programme started by invoking the blessings of God. Sri. P.C. Vishnunadh, MLA was the guest of honour and presided over the function. The chief guest inaugurated the function by lighting the lamp and delivered a motivational talk. He inspired students to identify their hidden passions and work towards fulfilling their dreams. He stressed the point that in every step of life, one should constantly compete with oneself to achieve greater heights rather than indulging in unhealthy competition with others. He urged the students to develop the inner strength and determination to face difficulties with a smiling face and overcome them smoothly.

Rev.Fr Benjamin Palliyadiyil, Manager of Bishop Jerome Institute, delivered the felicitation address. Prof. Rony Mohan, Head of the Department, Mechanical Engineering, felicitated and  delivered an inspiring talk about how to build up a new career and then  felicitated the award winners
