TRACES - Technical Research Association of Communication Engineering Students is a significant initiative aimed at acquainting our budding communication engineers with the practical realm. The primary goal is to nurture lateral thinking, foster innovations and inventions through research and analysis, and provide technical support from distinguished personalities in the field of electronics and communication. We incorporate field visits, team-building activities, group projects, debates, discussions, seminars, and more as part of TRACES' activities. Furthermore, we are keen on instituting an award for the best innovation to stimulate research and development in the Electronics and Communication sector.

TRACES was officially established on January 11, 2012, and inaugurated by Dr. K Gopakumar, Associate Professor at TKM College of Engineering. Here’s a summary of our activities:

  • On February 24, 2014, a technical session was conducted by Mr. Sabarinath, Assistant Professor in the ECE Department at St. Joseph College of Engineering and Technology, Pala. The topic addressed was 'Revolution and Hazaards in Communication Technology.'
  • In 2015, a full-day program was inaugurated by Dr. Thomas G eorge, Chairman, Lead College of Management, Palghat on September 17. A session on Life Skill Management was conducted by him, focusing on building self-esteem.
