TRACES - Technical Research Association of Communication Engineering Students is a significant initiative aimed at acquainting our budding communication engineers with the practical realm. The primary goal is to nurture lateral thinking, foster innovations and inventions through research and analysis, and provide technical support from distinguished personalities in the field of electronics and communication. We incorporate field visits, team-building activities, group projects, debates, discussions, seminars, and more as part of TRACES' activities. Furthermore, we are keen on instituting an award for the best innovation to stimulate research and development in the Electronics and Communication sector.
TRACES was officially established on January 11, 2012, and inaugurated by Dr. K Gopakumar, Associate Professor at TKM College of Engineering. Here’s a summary of our activities:
Recently a distinguished technical discourse entitled "Introduction to Machine Learning and Deep Learning," featuring Dr. Shailesh Sivan, Assistant Professor at Cochin University of Science and Technology. The event transpired on November 2, 2023, and served as a pivotal platform for students to gain profound insights into the burgeoning realms of machine learning and deep learning. The fortuitous opportunity to engage in dialogue with a luminary of Dr. Sivan's stature undoubtedly enriched the participants' understanding of contemporary advancements in the field, thereby contributing to their knowledge and awareness of emerging opportunities.
